In September of 2022 I traveled to Portugal and traversed the country from the city of Porto in the north to the Algarve region in the south. This composition is inspired by my travels through the vast forests of cork trees indigenous to this beautiful place. The images were recorded at the Cork Museum in Porto, and I also play various hand percussion instruments I acquired throughout the country that miraculously survived the journey home.
